Commercial Equipment Testing Training

Introduction:

The Commercial Equipment Testing Course shows delegates how to PAT Test with a bias towards the larger commercial eqiopment such as Cleaning and Catering equipment, in line with HSG107 Maintaining portable and transportable electrical equipment issued by the Health and Safety Executive, relevant European Safety Standards and the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment issued by the Institution of Electrical Engineers.  Delegates are shown how to check whether equipment has actually failed when the tester indicates a Fail, stopping perfectly safe equipment from being disposed of just because the tester says so.  There is a smaller element of general portable appliance testing included in the course, however it aims to increase the scope of the delegate to be able to cope with the larger more powerful equipment too and includes some additional testing principles.

Who Should Attend:

The Commercial Equipment Testing training course is aimed at those intending to carry out or manage PAT testing in a commercial environment.  Prior electrical knowledge is not necessary as basic principles will be discussed from the outset.

Certification & Assessment:

Following successful completion of the course delegates will receive an attendance training certificate which is valid for 3 years after which we recommend the course is re-attended to refresh the delegate on current practices.
