The Electricity at Work Regulations requires that all Electrical Appliances are maintained to prevent dangerincluding the risk of electric shock. Despite this over 1000 people are electricuted every year at work in the UK, some of which are fatal. The Portable Appliance Testing Course shows delegates how to PAT Test in line with HSG107 Maintaining portable and transportable electrical equipment issued by the Health and Safety Executive and the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment issued by the Institution of Electrical Engineers. The course also aims to give clear guidance to stop over-compliance in the industry. Following successful completion of the course delegates will receive an attendance training certificate which is valid for 3 years after which we recommend the course is re-attended to refresh the delegate on current practices. The assessment will provide employers with a measurable appreciation of their employee's abilities and skills sets in support of assessing competency.
